Our training system was born out of the reality that life is unpredictable and challenging and as such our training regimen reflects these facts. Being physically strong, mentally conditioned and fully prepared to overcome any obstacle in your path is the basis of what we do. True fitness is not measured by how you look but rather by what you are capable of. The ability to lift, pull and carry heavy objects; run, jump and climb over obstacles; defend yourself from an aggressor and to continue to perform despite pain, fatigue, hunger and intense emotional stress are the hallmarks of functional real-world fitness. To prepare for anything less will leave you vulnerable at the very moment when you most need to rely on your physical attributes.
Our system is decidedly blue-collar in nature and relies on hard work and mastery of the fundamentals. We use a mix of kettlebells, bodyweight exercises and every day objects to meet our objectives. The nucleus of this training plan is centered on the principals of The Russian Kettlebell Challenge, a school of training with its origins in the special operations units of the former Soviet Union. Integrated with this system is our unique blend of real world martial sciences/ street-level combatives and training methodology. ToEvolve is heavily focused on the development of the type of fitness and skills required of tactical athletes (military personnel, police officers, firefighters and combat sport participants). As such, we frequently practice using realistic scenario based training in order to create the adrenalin stress response that occurs during a high-intensity situation. Everyday people can and do benefit from our system as well. If what you seek is a no-nonsense approach to getting physically stronger and mentally tougher you have come to the right place. If you are looking for the latest magazine based fitness fad, we suggest you move on, this program is not for you. We don’t allow just anybody to train with us. You must show a sincere desire to develop the kind of physical skills and mental attitude required of a tactical athlete. We expect you to train as if your life depends on it. We’re that serious.
ToEvolve is not a personal training service. Taking money from someone and holding his or her hand through a workout routine, without cultivating the ability to function independently, is unethical and irresponsible. We are a consulting service for physical development. We will teach you the fundamentals of proper movement and technique and show you how to put it all together into a logical, progressive and effective program. You need to do the work. This system relies on each participant mindfully practicing the development of physical skills. Our system works extremely well for those willing to make the effort and each member of our team is living proof as to the efficacy of what we do. Each of us has had to endure tremendous hardship and life-threatening situations at one time or another and our experience shows in our methods. We will challenge you in unique ways and push you to new heights. You will evolve into someone stronger, more resilient and more capable than you were before.
